YOUR AGREEMENT WITH NICHE GETAWAYS, AN INDEPENDENT LUXURY TRAVEL AGENCY REGISTERED IN THE MALDIVES ISLANDS.

OUR COMMITMENT

Niche Getaways has always provided unforgettable and out-of-the-ordinary travel experiences to our guests. Our local partners/ suppliers are carefully selected for their ability to meet our standards and provide the best holiday experiences to our guests.

By using our services, you are signifying your agreement with the following terms and conditions, on behalf of yourself and all members of your traveling party.

1 – TRAVEL DOCUMENTS / BOOKING CONFIRMATION LETTER

Please check your travel documents when you receive them.  You agree to review your itinerary and other travel documents for accuracy and to inform us promptly of any issues. The names on your documents must match your Passport which was provided at the time of booking. You may contact us if you have any questions.

2 – AGENT FOR SUPPLIERS

Niche Getaways and its independent travel advisors (collectively “we” or “us”) act as sales agents for any resort, airline, hotel, live-aboard or any other service provider named in your itinerary or confirmation (“Suppliers”).  We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of the Suppliers or their failure to adhere to their own schedules, provide services or refunds, financial default, or failure to honor future trip credits. You acknowledge that your travel plans may be interrupted or cancelled by the Supplier, a government entity, or other third party over which we have no control. You further acknowledge that the Supplier’s own cancellation, rebooking and refund policies, subject to any applicable law that is now or may later be in effect, will govern your rights and remedies, including your right to receive a refund.

3 – BOOKING CONTRACT

The bookings received and accepted by Niche Getaways are effective and turned into definite once Niche Getaways has received the initial deposit (part of it or total) from the client.

4 – BOOKING PROCEDURE

– Once we receive the initial booking request through our website or any other means, we will confirm the availability of the specific hotel or resort/villa in question and provide the customer with the details of the booking along with our quotation /offer letter for the requested services.

– Should the (customer) wish to proceed with the booking, an official booking request must be sent along with passport copies of all guests to proceed with the booking.

– Once the booking request is received, we will confirm your reservation with the relevant hotel and provide our Invoice, which will include details of your booking and all agreed services and hotel / resort confirmation no.

– Upon receiving the Invoice, customer agrees to settle (part of it or total) Payment according to the payment and cancellation terms mentioned on the Invoice within the payment deadline.

– Once we receive the full payment or proof of payment, booking confirmation letter will be issued, as a booking guarantee.

– Your international flight details must be provided not less than 07 days prior to arrival.

– A confirmed reservation is not considered as a confirm booking unless the full payment for the agreed services is received on time, according to the payment and cancellation terms stated on the invoice or else the booking will be considered as cancelled.

5 – PASSPORTS AND VISAS

As a tourist you must have a valid passport with minimum 6 months validity to travel to the Maldives. All tourists visiting the Maldives are granted a 30 day on arrival tourist visa.

6 – WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND TRAVEL INSURANCE

For any travel plans that you have it is advisable to take out travel insurance to provide cover for you and your family for illness, accidents, theft, lost luggage, and any unavoidable holiday cancellations.

You agree to hold us harmless for your election not to purchase travel insurance or for any denial of claim by travel insurer as it relates to Covid-19 or any other claim under the policy.

7 – SPECIAL FARES & PROMOTION OFFERS

Most SPECIAL OFFERS available for your requested travel period might include certain restrictions. If any changes are required after booking confirmation, A change in your traveling dates(s) international flight(s) or any amendments must be done within the timeline mentioned on the confirmation letter or additional charges may apply. 8 – PRICE INCREASES

Travel arrangements involving airline and yacht, or private charters components are subject to Suppliers’ supplemental price increases that may be imposed by the supplier and/or government, even after you have completed your purchase. You hereby consent to any such price increases and to settle the difference if required. Suppliers have their own contracts covering cancellation penalties and other terms and conditions, and you may be bound by those contracts regardless of whether you receive notice of their terms.

9 – RATES

‐ All Rates Quoted are in US Dollars and are nett and not commissionable.
‐ Rates are Inclusive of All Applicable Taxes (10% S.C , GST 12% & Green Tax of $ 6 per person per night)
‐ In case of Changes in Government Tax, If the Hotels decides to charge it, the same will be passed on to you
‐ Rates are based on current tariffs and available special offers for a particular resort, that are subject to change without prior notice.

10 – PAYMENT

To be able to confirm and guarantee a booking with Niche Getaways, the client must make the initial required payment (part of it or total) based on the payment terms mentioned on the invoice. Once the payment and proof of payment is received, we will send the booking confirmation letter, which guarantees that the agreed services have been confirmed and guaranteed by the hotel / resort or suppliers. The confirmation letter contains details of the agreed services, guest names, villa and transfer details and other important information, which can be considered as a guarantee of service.

For bookings made 15 days or less prior to arrival date, Niche Getaways will require the full payment, total invoice amount of the booking at the time of booking confirmation.

Payment can be made by the payment methods mentioned on the invoice through bank transfer or credit card. A bank processing fee may be applied to all credit card payments, 3.5% of the total invoiced amount. All the costs, extra charges, wiring fees, and any additional costs that may appear as product of the payment will be assumed by the client directly.

We accept bank transfers, credit card payments which are Visa, MasterCard, American Express. You will receive a link that you should accept and confirm to proceed with the credit card payment.

11 – BOOKING CONFIRMATION

Once you complete your booking, you will receive the confirmation letter acknowledging the confirmation service and details of your booking along with the hotel confirmation number.

We reserve the right to cancel the booking if the booking does not comply with the payment terms agreed as per the payment terms mentioned on the invoice.

12 – HOTEL TRANSFER

Unfortunately, some flights may be delayed (International or domestic). These delays are completely outside of our control, but we will liaise with the relevant parties to make sure any delay is as comfortable as possible.

Should there be any delays in your international flight due to any unforeseen circumstances and if you are unable travel on the schedules transfer from airport to resort on arrival day, a private transfer has to be arranged, which will incur additional charge or the guests will be allocated seats on the next available transfer, without any additional cost. Seaplane operational hours are till 16:00 local time.

13 – CANCELLATION POLICY

By making a reservation with an accommodation provider, you accept and agree to the relevant cancellation and no-show policy.

You may be charged for your cancellation according to booking conditions, (pre)payment and no-show policy or not be entitled to any repayment of any (pre)paid amount. The cancellation policy for each booking may be different and will be outlined on your booking confirmation letter and invoice.

14 – REFUND POLICY

We reserve the right to charge processing fees in the event of refunds, cancellations, and other services. Refund requests must be received in writing and processed only if it complies with the terms and conditions of the booking. Any refund request that does not fall under the requisite terms and conditions of the booking will be denied.

Refund requests require a minimum of thirty days (30) days for processing. No claims will be reviewed once a refund is processed.

15 – LIABILITY

Niche Getaways is an acting sales agent for hotels/ resorts, or any other service provider mentioned on the itinerary. We cannot be held responsible or liable for any injury, loss, damage, or delay arising from or in connection with any act, omission, neglect, accident, error, or default of any such persons providing these services. Niche Getaways is not responsible for any itinerary alteration if such alterations become advisable or necessary for the safety or well-being of the passenger(s). Niche Getaways cannot be accountable for costs or other liabilities associated with any act of terrorism, war, accident, weather, or any act of God. The Company reserves the right to refuse, accept or retain any person as a group member. If facilities or services are unavailable for reasons beyond our control, we reserve the right to substitute comparable facilities or services with available ones.
